Airport Director
Tony Rudy
Tony Rudy is the Airport Director at the Salisbury Regional Airport (SBY) in Maryland and has held this position since June 2020. He was Assistant Airport Manager at SBY for a year immediately prior to this appointment. Tony began his airport management career at the Binghamton Regional Airport in upstate New York in May, 1992, as an Airport Operations Specialist with Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and Airport Security Coordinator duties. He served as an Airport Operations Officer and as an assistant to the Deputy Airport Director, Operations, at John Wayne Airport, Orange County, CA from 1996 until 2000.
Tony then served as the Assistant Airport Manager for the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport in Ithaca, NY from January 2000 until November 2016. He then moved on to be the Director of Operations for the Elmira Corning Regional Airport in NY from November, 2016 until January 2019. He has been significantly involved with airport planning, construction management, disaster preparedness, emergency management, and airport security throughout his career. Tony earned BS in Aviation Management/Flight Operations in 1990 from Daniel Webster College in Nashua, NH where he also attained his Private Pilot Certificate in 1986. Tony successfully completed all academic and professional requirements to be designated as an Accredited Airport Executive by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) in 2006.
Deputy Director
Adam Gardner
Adam comes to SBY Airport by way of Colorado, serving first as Airport Operations Security Supervisor at Aspen / Pitkin County Airport, high in the Rockies, and as Airport Operations Manager at Grand Junction Regional Airport, in Western Colorado. A native of Seattle, WA, he graduated from the University of North Dakota, obtaining his BBA in Airport Management, his Private Pilot’s License, and Certified Member credential from the American Association of Airport Executives—one of few students to do so nationally at that time.
Adam began his career as an Operations Officer at Will Rogers World Airport, in Oklahoma City before moving on to Central Wisconsin Airport as Director of Operations and Maintenance. He has over 9-years of collected experience serving passenger and cargo airlines in the Pacific Northwest; experience he uses to foster positive relations with the airport stakeholders
Adam brings extensive knowledge, in airport operations, to the region, and participates significantly with the Management in maintaining the airfield operation, supervising airport construction, overseeing aviation security, emergency preparedness, and continuously works to enhance the SBY passenger experience.
