Salisbury – Ocean City: Wicomico Regional Airport to Host Community Open House with Azure Flight Support
Salisbury, MD – March 18, 2026 – Salisbury – Ocean City; Wicomico Regional Airport (SBY), in partnership with Azure Flight Support, will host a community Airport Open House on Wednesday May 13th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, inviting the public to explore recent airport improvements and learn more about airfield operations.
This free event will feature a guided tour beginning at Azure Flight Support, located at 5279 Airport Road, Salisbury, MD 21804, with stops throughout the airport featuring key facilities and the latest improvements across the airfield. All attendees are asked to park at Azure Flight Support (5279 Airport Road), which will serve as the starting point for the tour.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
Tour Azure Flight Support’s newly renovated terminal facility and new maintenance facility
Visit the airport’s newly constructed Snow Removal Equipment (SRE), Airport Operations, and Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) facility
SBY Airport congratulates Azure Flight Support with the first of many initiatives at the airport and invites the public to visit and see their accomplishments firsthand. The airport is also proud to showcase its new, modern facility, which brings together Operations, Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF), Maintenance, and Snow Removal functions under one roof.
“This project has been in development for many years, and I’m proud to say we have finally moved our staff into a modern facility that enables them to perform their critical work in keeping the airport safe and fully operational,” said Tony Rudy, Airport Director.
Azure Flight Support, the airport’s Fixed Base Operator (FBO), recently completed renovations to its terminal facility as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the customer experience and support airport operations.
“We’re excited to partner with the airport to give the community a behind-the-scenes look at what’s happening on the airfield,” said Jenny Hoffman, COO of Azure Flight Support.
